In 2015 it was just a concept. Now construction is underway on the iconic stage of the Gerry Frank | Salem Rotary Amphitheater in Riverfront Park.
Earlier this month Dalke Construction of Salem began preparing the four corners of the stage that will feature large concrete plinths with words of peace from Rotary’s Four–Way Test imbedded in stainless steel – Truth, Fairness, Goodwill, Friendship. During the summer, the city of Salem prepared the grounds where members of the community will enjoy one of the most unique entertainment venues in the United States.
Funds to construct the stage have come from a number of sources and now total $3.71 million toward the goal of $4 million. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to help put the project fundraising “over the top” by making a tax deductible gift at https://rotaryamphitheater.com/donate/
