Salem’s Riverfront Park is slated to get a new amphitheater in 2020.
The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce announced the plan last week. The Rotary Club of Salem will raise money for the project as part of its centennial celebration in 2020.
The Rotary Club project is estimated to cost $1.5 million, with construction expected to start in fall 2019, according to the chamber. The venue could open in spring 2020.
